ETBE Catalytic Distillation Technology
Kairui Environmental Protection’s ETBE process technology uses ethanol and isobutylene as feedstocks, resin as a catalyst, and a catalytic distillation process to produce ETBE, a high-octane gasoline blending component.
Process Features:
1. High feedstock adaptability: The process can utilize by-product C4 feedstocks from FCC, ethylene cracking, isobutane dehydrogenation, olefin isomerization, olefin oxidative dehydrogenation, and coal-to-olefins processes, allowing for the selection of the optimal process based on different feedstocks and product requirements.
2. High isobutene conversion rate: The C4 content in the post-etherification product can be reduced to as low as ≤0.05% wt. depending on the requirements of downstream processes.
3. Versatile process: The same unit can produce both ETBE and MTBE.
