Precision Separation Process Technology for 1-Butene

Precision Separation Technology for 1-Butene

Kairui Environmental Protection’s 1-butene precision separation technology uses C4 fractions from ethylene cracking or coal chemical processes as feedstock. After removing isobutene via an MTBE unit, the 1-butene in the C4 fraction is separated and purified to yield a high-purity 1-butene product. The product’s purity meets the requirements for “Premium Grade” as specified in the “Industrial-Grade 1-Butene SH/T 14546-2009” standard.

Process Features:

1. The 1-butene product has high purity, ranging from 99.3% to 99.5%, exceeding the requirements for “Premium Grade” specified in the “Industrial 1-Butene SH/T 14546-2009” standard.

2. The 1-butene product has a high yield, ranging from 93% to 96% depending on the feedstock.

3. Compared to the four-tower process using traditional plate towers, this process employs a packed tower configuration. Only two towers are required to meet process requirements, offering advantages such as a shorter process flow, lower equipment investment, smaller footprint, lower tower pressure drop, greater operational flexibility, lower reflux ratio, and lower energy consumption.

MTBE Cracking Process Technology

Kairui Environmental Protection’s MTBE cracking process technology is a production process that uses MTBE as feedstock to produce high-purity polymer-grade isobutylene.

Process Technology Features:

1. The use of a low-pressure reaction process reduces the load on compressors, resulting in a 40% reduction in compressor power consumption.

2. The catalyst has a wide operating range: the MTBE cracking rate can reach 98% at 190°C, and the maximum operating temperature can reach 280°C.

3. The catalyst has a long service life of up to 4 years; even toward the end of the unit’s operation, the MTBE cracking rate can still be maintained at over 98%.

4. High MTBE cracking rate and high isobutene selectivity.

5. No steam injection is required during plant operation, reducing operating costs and wastewater discharge.
