C5 Polymerization-Hydrogenation Process Technology
Coal-to-olefins technology has developed rapidly in China, resulting in more abundant C4 resources. The utilization of low-cost C4 to produce high-value-added chemical products represents the future direction for C4 utilization. Leveraging our proven, mature technologies, our company can provide comprehensive utilization of our clients’ C4 resources.
The main process routes are as follows:
1. C4 etherification to produce MTBE; the isobutylene content in the C4 residue after etherification is ≤0.3%.
2. C4 etherification to produce MTBE, followed by selective hydrogenation of the post-etherification C4 stream to produce 1-butene.
3. C4 hydration to produce tert-butanol, followed by etherification of the remaining C4 to produce MTBE, and subsequent hydration of the post-etherification C4 stream to produce sec-butanol and methyl ethyl ketone.
4. n-Butene isomerization to produce MTBE.
5. Dehydrogenation and etherification of isobutane to produce MTBE.
