Major processes
1. MTBE is produced by C4 etherification, the isobutylene content in C4 reffinate is lower 0.3%.
2. MTBE is produced by C4 etherification, C4 reffinate to produce 1-butene through selective hydrogenation.
3. To produce TBA from C4 by hydration, C4 raffinate to produce MTBE, then to produce sec-butanol and methyl ethyl ketone by hydration.
4. N-butene isomerization to produce MTBE.
5. Isobutane dehydrogenation to produce MTBE.
