"The new technology of catalytic distillation of methanol to dimethyl ether" introduced the catalytic distillation technology into the production of dimethyl ether for the first time. Under the action of the catalytic distillation column, the etherification reaction and the separation proceed simultaneously, and the reaction equilibrium is continuously broken, and the reaction proceeds to the direction of the formation of dimethyl ether, and finally the methanol conversion rate reaches 99.5% or more. At the top of the column, a dimethyl ether product with a purity of more than 99.5% is obtained, which can meet the requirements of aerosol purity without further purification and separation. The methanol content in the effluent from the tower is not more than 300ppm, and can be directly discharged to the sewage treatment plant without methanol recovery. The technology has the advantages of short process flow, low reaction temperature, no gasification of raw materials, no side reaction, low energy consumption and high product purity. The invention solves the problems of long process flow, high reaction temperature, high energy consumption, high gasification of methanol raw materials, low conversion rate, purification and recovery of methanol, and refining of dimethyl ether products.
Compared with the traditional gas phase method, the energy consumption is about 60% of the gas phase method, and the investment is about 90% of the gas phase method (calculated by a 200,000 tons/year dimethyl ether plant), and the operating cost per ton of dimethyl ether is reduced. 70 yuan, can significantly increase the competitive advantage and profit margin of DME production enterprises.
In February 2013, Kerry Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. successfully launched the 2000 tons/year dimethyl ether demonstration unit built by “catalytic distillation of methanol to dimethyl ether new technology”. The conversion rate of methanol per pass reached 99.7%, dimethyl ether. The purity reached 99.5%. The successful operation of the demonstration device marks the successful development of the new technology of catalytic distillation to produce dimethyl ether and promotes the technological progress of dimethyl ether production. In particular, its environmental protection and energy saving features can significantly reduce the production cost of dimethyl ether and improve the economic benefits of production enterprises. At the same time, it has great strategic significance for China's energy structure adjustment and energy conservation and emission reduction targets.
